TSMC's September revenue is up 54.6% on a year earlier at NT$511.9bn, and January to September is up 41.1%

The month was 0.6% below August's. The filing gives no explanation and no guidance; quarterly results come later in October.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC), which makes most of the world's leading AI accelerators, filed its September revenue report on 8 October. Its table shows consolidated revenue of NT$511,857 million for September 2026, against NT$514,806 million in August and NT$330,980 million in September 2025. That is 0.6% down on the month and 54.6% up on the year.

Revenue for January to September came to NT$3,898,727 million, up 41.1% on NT$2,762,964 million in the same nine months of 2025.

The filing is a bare table. It does not mention AI, gives no reason for the figures and carries no guidance. TSMC reports its full third-quarter results later in October.

The number matters as the cleanest monthly read on AI chip demand: TSMC manufactures the accelerators that Nvidia, AMD and the big cloud companies design. A month just short of August's level still left revenue more than half as large again as a year earlier. On the same day, Taiwan's finance ministry reported a record month for the island's exports (see below).

  • Confirmed September revenue was NT$511,857 million, down 0.6% on August and up 54.6% on September 2025. TSMC Form 6-K
  • Confirmed January–September revenue was NT$3,898,727 million, up 41.1%. TSMC Form 6-K
