Model-release trackers and Anthropic's newsroom show nothing new since 2 October, and Reflection's promised open model is not on Hugging Face
A measured absence: the newest tracked releases are GPT-6.1 Sol and a Bilibili translation model.
Checked early on Monday 5 October, the public model-release trackers listed nothing new for the weekend. LLM Gateway's timeline and LLM Stats' updates page both had OpenAI's GPT-6.1 Sol of 29 September as their newest entry. Digital Applied's October tracker, which covers the month to 3 October, ends with a 2 October entry: the Bilibili Index team's Index-Translate-35B-A3B-preview.
The labs' own channels agree as far as they could be seen. Anthropic's newsroom's newest post was dated 2 October, the $100 million engineer-training programme that ran here on 3 October. Google DeepMind's newest blog posts were from September. OpenAI's news page refused the request, so OpenAI is not visible from here.
Axios reported on 4 October that Reflection is set to release an open-weight model soon. A Hugging Face search on Monday found no official Reflection organisation or model card; every matching repository belonged to individuals or unrelated groups.
Trackers lag. On 4 October none of the three checked had listed Aleph Alpha's Kolibri-1, which was on Hugging Face from 3 October. So this is an absence across the trackers and the lab channels checked, not proof that nothing shipped anywhere. Coming after GPT-6.1 Sol, Gemini 4 Argon and Claude Sonnet 5.5 in the last week of September, it is the first weekend in a month without a major release.
