SAP agrees to buy TechWolf, a Belgian work-intelligence startup, to give its HR agents a map of skills and work

Terms were not disclosed. SAP says the deal makes token use more efficient and lowers the cost of deploying workforce agents.

SAP said on 6 October that it has agreed to acquire TechWolf, a Ghent-based maker of an AI work-intelligence platform. TechWolf builds a context graph of the work employees do and the skills they have, linked to HR systems. SAP plans to put it at the core of SAP SuccessFactors.

“Terms of the deal were not disclosed.” Closing is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approval. TechWolf will remain an independent entity under its chief executive, Andreas De Neve.

SAP presents the deal as being about agents. Manoj Swaminathan, president and chief product officer of SAP Autonomous Suite, said TechWolf's context graph “provides an excellent grounding layer for agent queries regarding work and skills planning and talent management”, and added: “This grounding layer perfectly matches our strategy. It makes token usage more efficient, lowers the cost of deploying workforce agents and will make Joule more intelligent in AI-driven HR scenarios such as skills-based hiring, workforce planning and role redesign.”

TechWolf's own announcement calls it the largest acquisition of a venture-backed software company in Belgian history. The claim is TechWolf's; with no price disclosed, it cannot be checked from here.
