Nvidia lists a 64GB DGX Spark for models of up to 100bn parameters, sold only through PC makers
Nvidia's product page shows the half-memory version of its desktop AI computer as coming soon. The price outlets reported is not on Nvidia's own page, so it is not given here.
Nvidia has added a 64GB version of DGX Spark, its desktop AI computer, to the product's page. The page lists the 64GB model as coming soon and sold only through participating OEM partners, the PC makers that build and sell Nvidia-based machines. In its specification table, Nvidia puts the 64GB model's limit at up to 100 billion parameters, against up to 200 billion for the 128GB version.
StorageReview reported the new configuration on 2 October, and Back2Gaming also reported it. Both gave a starting price, an on-sale date and a list of PC makers. Nvidia's own page shows none of those, and its announcement could not be found or opened from here, so the price and date are left out of this story rather than repeated from the outlets alone.
The context is memory. The 128GB DGX Spark launched as a box for running and fine-tuning large models at a desk; halving the memory halves the size of model it can hold, by Nvidia's own table. Back2Gaming tied the cheaper model to a memory crunch that it said keeps pushing up the 128GB model's price. Nvidia's page does not say why it added the smaller version.
