Amazon's Bee launches two AI recorders, the $74.99 Frontier and the $99.99 Eclipse, its first devices since Amazon bought it
Both listen to conversations and turn them into summaries and reminders. An $11.99-a-month Bee Pro plan adds Alexa+ and Amazon.com links.
Bee, the wearable AI company Amazon bought in 2025, launched two devices on 15 October. Bee Frontier, at $74.99, is worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing; Amazon lists IP67 water resistance, about a week of battery life and two microphones, and it is on sale now. Bee Eclipse, from $99.99, is a card-sized device that attaches magnetically to the back of a phone; Amazon says it lasts more than 21 days on a charge and is coming soon.
Amazon describes the product this way: “Bee is personal AI that remembers what matters from your conversations and turns it into useful insights and reminders.” It says audio is processed in real time and then deleted, and that transcripts are encrypted and visible only to the user. Those privacy points are the company's own claims.
A Bee Pro subscription at $11.99 a month adds unlimited summaries, Alexa+ and Amazon.com integrations, and links to other apps. Basic summaries and 14 days of memory come with any device.
TechCrunch reported that these are Bee's first new devices since the acquisition, and priced them against rival AI recorders: the Plaud Note at $159 and Pocket at $129. The Switchboard's press count found 67 outlets covering the launch, CNBC and Bloomberg among them. For buyers, the cheaper of the two undercuts both rivals by more than $50, and the subscription, not the device, is where Amazon ties Bee into Alexa+ and its shop.
