Spot with Field Foundation Models
Boston Dynamics and FieldAI partnered to run Field Foundation Models on the Spot quadruped for construction and other changing sites. Spot inspects, maps and tracks daily progress with 3D scans and images, flags hazards such as standing water or blocked exits, and can run overnight against digital-twin or BIM models. The companies report inspection and documentation time cut by more than 90%.
- Robot: Boston Dynamics Spot quadruped
- No pre-mapped layouts, GPS or fixed paths needed
- Runs fully on-edge without a cloud connection
- Multi-robot fleets share environmental understanding
- Inspection and documentation time down more than 90% vs manual (company figure)

EDGE
FieldAI's general-purpose robot brain product, pitched as one brain across robots, tasks and environments. It is built on the company's Field Foundation Models and offers on-robot (on-edge) autonomy with risk-aware world modelling. The homepage cites deployments across three continents in manufacturing, automotive, semiconductor, industrial, equipment and security settings, but does not name the robot brands it runs on.

Field Foundation Models (FFMs)
FieldAI's core robot foundation models, described as a new class of risk-aware robotics AI built around a Belief World Model that reasons under uncertainty. They combine data-driven AI with physics-based reasoning so robots can work in unmapped, changing places without pre-made maps, GPS or fixed paths, running fully on the robot. FieldAI calls its autonomy robot-agnostic.
